Finalmente, hemos sido capaces de localizar a José Manuel, no obstante éste declina cualquier tipo de contacto con nosotros. No acabo de entender su posición (yo no había nacido siquiera cuando todo aquello ocurrió) pero no me queda sino aceptar su voluntad. María del Amor falleció de cáncer al poco de llegar de El Mariel.
In the end we have been able to find José Manuel, unfortunately he refuses any contact with us. I barely understand anything, (I wasn't even born when all that happened) but I have no other option but to accept and respect José Manuel's will. María del Amor had died some time after her coming to the US in The Mariel Boatlift. Well, end of the game I guess... and all in vain.
